church on SUnday
Our Sunday gathering is a welcoming, no-pressure space designed to help you explore what following Jesus looks like in your actual life. We’re a group of people who have had our lives radically changed by Jesus. We'd love for you to find out what that could mean for yours.
We take Jesus seriously, his life, his teaching, his claim to change everything. You don't have to believe that yet. But if you're open to finding out, you'll fit right in.
No matter where you are on your journey, whether you’ve never thought about Jesus before, you’re curious to learn more, or you’re looking to reconnect and grow your relationship with Him, this is the space for you!
A host (the person with the mic) will be there to guide you through the morning, explain what’s happening, and let you know what’s coming up next.

What does a Sunday look like?
Each Sunday has three parts:
-
Music: Usually three songs with nothing you need to know in advance. The lyrics (which are on the screen) point us to God.
-
Talk: A 25-30 minute talk from Jesus’ teaching that is practical, honest, and jargon-free. We're unapologetic but we'll explain everything. Whatever you believe, you'll find things you can apply on Monday.
-
Groups: A chance to go deeper and connect with people (more on this below).
How do groups work?
Groups happen straight after the gathering every Sunday. Same morning. Same people. No extra journeys. No pressure.
It means that from your very first Sunday, there's a chance to have a real conversation, not just shake hands on the way out.
Come for the event. Stay for the community.
In groups, we have authentic conversations and build friendships that give us real support during the week.
People come not knowing what to expect and end up finding some of their closest friends here. That's not an accident; It's what we're building. If you're not ready to stay for groups yet, no problem at all. But don't be surprised if you want to.

What is there for the children?
Freedom Kids runs throughout the whole morning, so your children are looked after, and having a great time, from start to finish.
-
Ages 4–11: Freedom Kids runs from after the music through to the end of groups.
-
Ages 2–4: Freedom Cubs runs from after the music through to the end of the talk, then your little ones move into a dedicated play area in the main space during groups.
Freedom Kids is a real priority for us. It's safe, age-appropriate, fun and engaging. It helps children experience Jesus at their level. We love our kids and take their time seriously.

FAQ
What should I wear?
Wear whatever you feel comfortable in: Whether that’s your best suit, or your best Crocs! Most people who attend will be wearing clothes somewhere between casual and smart casual.
Do I need to bring any money with me?
Freedom Church Birmingham is funded by a group of people who give monthly to see more people find out about Jesus. Because of the Jesus-inspired generosity of those people, we won’t be asking for any money from you, and you won’t need any money during any of our events.
Is there anywhere to park?
We have plenty of free on-site parking. The barrier opens as you drive towards it, and the code to exit is at reception.
